Great conversion fisheye for the money, November 1, 2011 This review is from: Opteka Platinum Series 0.2X HD Panoramic "Vortex" Fisheye Lens for Digital SLR Cameras (52mm and 58mm Mount) (Electronics) I got the lens from 47th Street Photo, great experience working with them as a store first off, their staff is very helpful and know what they are talking about. I got the lens in the skaters kit and it got here very fast with normal shipping.
I put a couple of quick sample pics up here right out of the box for people to see.
Keep in mind this is a 'conversion' lens for your camera, it does not mount right on the camera body.
The lens is very heavy, this is a big piece of glass.
I first put it on my Canon T1i with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens using the included 58 to 52mm adapter ring but I could not focus the the camera using this lens, it just didn't have enough room in the focus ring to pull back enough to get it in focus. I'm a nooby at photography so I'm sure there is a good explanation for this.
I then put it on my stock kit 55mm lens my T1i (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6); I could focus well with this setup just fine, very crisp... Read more
